Carrier coordination

Discovery

Week 1, day 1-2. Inventory of current dialer (if any), agent count, daily volume, trunks, recording requirements, compliance scope. We document what exists.

Day 2-5. Fresh VICIdial cluster sized to your peak load. Trunks wired. Recording storage configured. Backup region selected.

Migration

Day 5-12. Existing campaigns, leads, dispositions, agents, recordings imported (if migrating). Soft-launch on one team to verify everything works.

Full cutover + handover

Day 12-14. DNS / carrier failover. All agents on the new system. Runbook handed to your ops team. Managed-services SLA in effect from this day forward.

Managed VICIdial FAQ

What is the difference between managed and unmanaged hosting?
Unmanaged: we hand you the image, the docs, and the keys. You handle patching, monitoring, and incidents. Managed: we do all of that 24/7, plus monthly campaign tuning and quarterly business reviews. Pricing is roughly 2x for managed because you get our engineering time on call.
What is the typical cluster size you manage?
Most clients run single-server images comfortably handling 500-1000 concurrent calls. We also manage multi-node clusters (separate DB / web / dialer / archive nodes) - largest in production: 10,000 concurrent calls for a collections BPO.
Do you support our existing trunk provider?
Almost certainly yes. We have PJSIP-ready profiles for Tata, Ozonetel, Knowlarity, Twilio, Telnyx, Bandwidth, and most major carriers. Bring your own SIP credentials and we wire them in during onboarding.
What if we want to switch from another VICIdial host?
Standard migration: 4-8 hours of cutover work depending on data volume. Fixed-price project. We coordinate the DNS + carrier failover so cutover happens during a planned maintenance window with minimal downtime.
How is managed hosting priced?
Tier-based on agent count + recording retention + cluster size, invoiced in your local currency (INR / USD / GBP / EUR). Typical managed-hosting engagements: the equivalent of USD 500-3,500/month for 25-200 agents. Annual prepay gets 10% off. Quote-based for >200 agents or multi-region.
